The Birkdale Guest House Hotel, Shanklin, is situated in a quiet side road just 100 yards from the heart of Shanklin’s picturesque Old Village where you will find a variety of pretty thatched buildings housing tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and gift shops.
From here, within just a few minutes walk you will reach the Shanklin Chine, or Rylstone Gardens where you may see red squirrels and can enjoy open air concerts in the summer. A little further on you will reach the award winning Shanklin beach and esplanade.
Shanklin Theatre is also close by and offers a wide variety of concerts throughout the year.
We are ideally located as a base for sightseeing, whether using your own car or the Island’s excellent transport system, or perhaps walking or cycling, it is easy to explore the beautiful countryside and view the stunning scenery that the Island is famous for, along with the many and varied visitor attractions.
